Hi,

We’re Jamie and Maanuv from Warwick School- the organisers of the CSTS screening in Warwick UK. We helped out with it last year, had a really good time and thought that it was a really good cause. 1. Hey boys!

This looks awesome! I wish I had a way to get over there to come and join in your festivities! I will be with you in spirit! WHOOT! Way to go and kudos to you for supporting such a worthy cause. YOU ROCK!

  2. Hiya, are you planning to show Dr Horrible as well??

Great work guys and thanks for organising this…

  3. Thanks Andy!
We have been thinking about it but we’ve got to talk to the people at the Kozy Bar and see if we could do that there…
We will let you know as soon as we know ourselves!

  4. oooooh not only are you showing Serenity.. but you’re also going to the Kozy bar…. which has fabulous food and great service. I am checking my diary and hunting down a friend to come.

  5. Thanks Noonie!

Yes the Kozy Bar is my favorite place in Warwick.
They were great to us last year and I havestill to talk to them about playing Doctor Horrible… lets keep our fingers crossed!

I hope to meet you on the 4th!

  6. Hey Guys!

I moved over here from melbourne a year or so ago, spent last year in Boston with my boyfriend (a browncoat) and our friends and now I am looking to see your screening in the UK! I do hope I can make it! It’s all such a good cause, I am quite passionate about Equality Now, and there’s so much to be done!

I’ll be living in Devon by this date, so I will have to keep in touch about what I could do, but I would love to help out if I can definitely make it!

Doctor Horrible would be awesome and I know some folk would make the extra effort to get there to see it on the big screen if you could swing it! Fingers crossed!

    • That’s fantastic! As you can see we are now defenitively screening Doctor Horrible now and we have got lyrics booklets already ready for people who wants to join in! We hope to see you on the 4th!

    • Hey Magdalena,

If you get 5 mins, please get in touch via the ‘contact us’ part of fireflystore.net – as me and my Aussie other half have a place in Melbourne, but freakily also live in Devon too Basically, it’d be good to pick your brains on a couple of things if possible!
(apologies for posting this twice I think)

      Steve, Exeter.

  7. Hi Guys,

Just caught a mention of this when catching up on my podcasts – it was Odile I think, with the lovely French accent from Sending as Wave. I’m in Norwich, Norfolk but I reckon I can drive over and back to support the cause. Any t shirts available – I know there have been problems in the past with customs import duty.

    • That’s great!
Looking forwards to meeting you! I’ll keep my French accent just for you then! :-)
See you on the 4th and thanks for doing your part in supporting the cause!
      Odile

      • Just getting my stuff together ready for the 150 mile drive – will be picking my sister up in Coventry and I’ve got my Firefly box set in the bag ready to lend to her if she likes Serenity :) Weather looks great!

      • Andy on the road – just stopping at Mildenhall for a fried egg roll and a mug of tea. Need to put some sunblock on, driving an MR2 with the top down and my left arm is burning :)

      • 142 miles from home – sat in Borders/Starbucks. Been listening to Rob Dougan – Furious Angels for epic driving in the sun music. Next Varèse Saraband VSD-6699 (which, as any fule no, is Greg Edmonson’s Firefly!).

      • There’s not enough of you briwncoats here! Stop what you’re doing and Come and support the cause now.

      • 400.4 mile road trip for an excellent event! Hope you guys make a profit after such a low attendance :(

Same time & place next year?

    • Hi Andy!
Thank you so much for turning up and driving ALL that way yesterday! So? Did your sister like the film?
I am sorry I did not get more time to chat with you, nor did I manage to say goodbye to you properly, sorry :-( (to tell the truth, I am not sure where the day went yesterday!)
Hope you and your sister had a great time!
      Take care!
      Odile

      • Odile, you must be very keen if you are on here maintaining the website before 9 o’clock on a Sunday morning.

        Thanks again for organising.

        JPH

      • Hi Odile,
Yes, she really liked it and has my box set now to see what led up to the film.
Sorry we didn’t stick around after, but we went for something to eat then I had to get to the hotel in Walsall (M6 J10).
Kudos to everyone that was involved and I’ll keep my eye out for your school podcast.
        Jusqu’à la fois prochaine.

  8. Hey guys.

It’s been a crazy few months and I’ve just realised we’ve been busy selling stuff and helping charities but have not supported any shindigs or attended a screening in the UK yet this year…. damn, that is seriously going to affect our lovely rep, hah!

So I’m going to try and dig out some goodies from our vaults at fireflystore.net and get them up to you guys ASAP. Send me a note through this blog or via our website and we’ll see what we can do.
    : )

Plus, I’ll try to convince my other half to come to Warwick with me next week so we can see the film for the 1,742rd time! It’s been a while since the last one though.

Good luck and catch up later,

    Steve

  10. Hiya, just wanted to express again my thanks to all the organisers. I had a great time, well worth the 300+ mile round trip…..

Great company, great films, great organising and all done for a great charity…

    Thanks,
    Andy

PS Please please same again next year…

  11. Hi Guys
Just wanted to offer my congrats on a lovely screening. I was so impressed by all your hard work, I’m sure Equality Now will be very grateful for your efforts!
    Wooly Regards
    Susan

    • Thank you so much for this!
      Odile

  12. Damn – for some strange reason Naomi and I really thought the screening was this weekend, heaven knows why…. but ghen again we’ve had lots of ‘real life’ issues recently, so maybe that was it.
    : (

Anyhow, we’re gutted not to have made it – so I’ll make sure that as Fireflystore, we send a couple of goodies for you to auction or sell in the near future to add to your total for CSTS and also ping over £10 for 2 extra tickets you would have had. Hope that’s cool and good for our karma, hah!

Apologies again and it’s great to hear good stories about it being a success and so well done everyone.

    Keep flyin’ Steve
    FIREFLYSTORE.NET

    • Okay – I’ve just sent £15 as a contribution, but if Odile or someone can email through an address, we’ll also get something off for you to auction/raffle towards Warwick’s CSTS total too.
      : )

    • Thank you!
We will add this to the total.
Sorry you got your date wrong, would have been grate to see you!
