Thank you and goodbye…

Hi everyone,

I know it’s been some time since the actual event took place but due to some issues with ‘film bank’ we have only just received an accurate total of how much money we raised.

We managed to raise a fantastic £625 or about $1031 which is just great!

I am utterly overwhelmed by this and am so happy to have been involved in achieving this.

Special thanks must go to all our sponsors, the KOZY bar warwick, PJ Haarsma, JC Hutchins, Forbidden Planet, Mr Fillion for his kind autographsbut also  Wendy Scott from Sending a Wave and Nick from the signal for turning up and supporting us and last but not least a big BIG  THANK YOU TO Anne Barringer and for her help and support. Finally a massive THANK YOU to all who came on the day as well as to all who sent us some money via Paypal; it was great to meet you all.

I think this achievement once again proves just how spectacularly generous the Browncoats are. I think it is especially amazing that we were able to raise this much with just a small group of people showing up on the day so thanks again to everyone who came and gave so generously.

As I have said before it was a brilliant experience for myself and my other two co-organisers and we are really pleased to see that our work has paid off and we can give a great contribution to Equality Now.

Thanks again!

Jamie

Event Update!!

Hiya, just a quick update for you to let you know how things are going…

The bad news:
live music is unfortunately off… (1/2 of the band will be right in the middle of very important exams so they don’t have enough time to practise)…sorry!
The good news:

  • we are now screening ‘Dr Horrible’s Sing Along Blog’ as well as ’Serenity’!!
  • Jamie is going to meet Nathan Fillion next weekend and get some stuff autographed to add to our prizes
  • Sending a Wave will do a “live podcast” on the day which should be uploaded to the web on the same night.
  • we should get some goodies from LUSH to add to our prizes!

That’s it for now but watch this space for further updates!! :-)

Thanks!
